Actor Rami Reddy (52), well known for his negative role breathed his last on Thursday(15/4/2011) at a private hospital in Secunderabad. He was undergoing treatment for kidney ailment for the past couple of weeks. He left his two daughters and a son. Hailing from Chittor district of Andhra Pradesh, Reddy started his career as a jounalist before entering the film industry. His debut film as a villain Ankusham (Telugu) in 1989, the film was director by Kodi Ramakrishnan.
Rami Reddy acted in almost 250 films in different language like Telugu, Tamil, Kanada, Hindi, Malayalam and Bhojpuri. He was one of the favorite actors of Ram Gopal Varma.
Rami Reddy was seen in the film's Hindi counterpart Prathibandh, a blockbuster, as "Spot" Anna, acting alongside Chiranjeevi and Juhi Chawla.
